This past weekend the energy and excitement of Caribbean vibrations invaded the South Florida city of Miami. Being the last major stop on the annual Carnival calendar, hundreds of partygoers, entertainers and event promoters enjoyed the Columbus weekend in fine style. Not to be left out of the action, Ravi B, Nisha B and the band Karma brought Chutney-Soca flavour to many of Miami’s main events.

C2W Music Limited is set to increase copyright holdings as the company hosted the first Jamaican songwriting camp September 7 – 14, 2012 at the Rockhouse in Negril. The workshop through which the company aims to produce several potential hit songs for export is sure to be music to investor’s ears.  C2W became the first start-up and intellectual property company to be listed on the Jamaica Junior Stock Exchange (JSE) in May of this year.

New T&T film “The Cool Boys” explores young Caribbean masculinity.

In a region such as the Caribbean where film making is considered by many as a burgeoning art form, the Trinidad and Tobago Film Festival (which will take place from September 19th to October 2nd 2012) has become an annual grand stage for practitioners to display their works. For this year’s staging, one particular film, “The Cool Boys”, directed by Michael Mooleedhar has been highly anticipated as it delves into topics pertinent to the experience of young males in Trinidad.
